Hazard Alert: Powered Industrial Truck Safety

As we are quickly approaching the mid-point of the 2021 year, we would like to point out a trend we are seeing this year as it relates to on-the-job injuries. We are experiencing an increase of severe injuries related to the operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts). Now is the time for our members to act and review your organizations powered industrial truck safety and training programs. This training should not be limited to those who operate powered industrial trucks (PIT). To ensure best practice you should also train those who work in areas of high PIT traffic on how to be observant of their surroundings and work safely around PIT’s.
