Trailer Loading and Equipment Transport
December 05, 2025
Crews must load equipment onto trailers using slow controlled movement. The heaviest equipment must be placed in front of the trailer axle to create stable weight distribution. Ramps must be locked and secured. Tie-down straps must be inspected for wear and replaced when frayed. Drivers must perform walk-around inspections to confirm that straps, hitches, and lighting are secure before leaving the yard. This includes verifying that no loose tools or fuel containers are present.
