Heat-Related Illness
As summer approaches and temperatures begin to rise, there is no better time to ensure your team is educated on heat stress in the workplace. Heat stress can result in heat stroke, heat exhaustion, heat cramps, and heat rashes. Besides the direct hazards associated with heat stress, heat stress can also lead to workplace injuries in other ways. Heat can increase the risk of injury to workers as it may result in sweaty palms, foggy safety glasses, and dizziness which can all contribute to additional injuries.
